ALL MINISTRY WORKERS
- Responsible for finding a replacement if not able to serve on scheduled day and notify Team Leader of change
- Attend the Pre-service Rally at 7:45 am on the day you are serving.
- Serve for 1 service only on Holiday services (Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas) “All Hands on Deck”
- Attend Bi-Annual Kids Life Training
- Attend & Support Kids Life Special Events
- Prepare room and clean room at the end of service
- Implement classroom rules and Child of God Support plan (if applicable)
TEAM LEADERS
- Oversees and supports all ministry workers in the department
- Collaborates with Children’s Church Director on implementation of practices.
- Train all new ministry workers in their department
- Confirms ministry workers for each Sunday and notifies Kids Life Director of confirmations.
- Creates and distributes Ministry worker schedules for the class.
- Attends Team Leader meetings
- Ensures ministry workers have access to the curriculum
- Upkeeps room environment and decorates for Holidays
- Provides Holiday craft and treat
- Collaborates with the Performance Coordinator for Holiday performances.
- Ensures stock of classroom supplies, snacks, and communicates need to the Children’s Church Director.
- Coordinates Child of God Support Plan meetings with parent and Children’s Church Director
- Shares Child of God Support Plan with team
- Performs monthly classroom facilities check and shares information with leadership team via email
- Coordinates Holiday service schedule and shares schedule with the Children’s Church Director
TEACHERS
- Lesson plans and prepares activities prior to class
- Sets up classroom prior to check-in
- Oversees classroom
- Leads timeline of classroom schedule
- Conducts Bible lesson
- Submits Kids Life Ministry report on the Sunday they served
- Communicates any classroom issues with Team Leader
- Communicates any changes to Class assistant and mentor
- Implements Godly discipline and positive reinforcement
- Initiates need of a Child of God Support plan (if applicable) and communicates with Team Leader
- Communicates with the Team Leader for supplies and items needed.
- Communicates with parents if a child had a difficult day (this is the teacher’s responsibility, not the Assistant or Mentor)
ASSISTANTS
- Assists with setting up classroom prior to check in
- Assists and is actively engage in lesson and activities as a role model
- Redirects children who are off task
- Preps arts and crafts activities for teacher
- Prepares snacks
- Leads a small group activity organized by teacher
- Administers restroom breaks
- Communicates any specific information regarding children to the teacher
MENTORS
- Assists and is actively engage in lesson and activities as a role model
- Works with children 1:1 to support throughout the lesson (if needed)
- Communicates any specific information regarding children to the teacher
